Looking for a place to stay this summer . Would like to try Lake Oaskie . has anyone have any place they liked better then another on this lake. Thanks

try head of the lakes resort, good people and nice place too.

Lakeshore is hands down my favorite. Excellent mom and pop resort. Can catch fish right off their deepwater docks and they have some cut outs in the dock if you need to scratch an ice fishing itch with the short rods and a flasher You almost need to book a year ahead though. Think they only have a couple openings available the rest of the year. That alone should tell you something Mrs. pushbutton likes Holiday resort the best as it probably has some of the nicest updating of all the resorts on the lake. As Mike said, Head of the Lakes has some great new ownership ....so does Idlewild.

Booking this late you might have a hard time finding something open during the time you want to come. If your flexible on when, then you may be able to squeeze in somewhere. Pushbutton covered it pretty good as far as the good places.

Thanks guys... we are pretty flexible when we can go so if something is open it should work out..... Thanks for your input. we are going to drive up that way saturday morning and check some of them out....

+one for Lake shore.Super people, and as stated, excellent dock fishing. Some of the folks don't even bring a boat. The dock fishing can be that good. Good luck.
