I saw Redstarts in Bemidji last week. First time I've ever seen them, much less in Bemidji. They are really beautiful.

Are they jelly eaters like Orioles? I've never seen one either in my Brainerd feeder.

I think they prefer insects. They are lightning fast. Very fidgety. They do not sit still very long. i have not seen anymore at my place in the metro since I posted on the 22nd. Leaves are out now, based on how small they are and how fast it would be difficult to spot them now.

That must make me a bird racist, because they were orange and black I assumed they were orioles of some kind.
