Cool beans Mike! Was wondering where and when they'd show first. White-throated sparrows were around last week and there was a rose-breasted grosbeak here yesterday. Usually the orioles are not far behind. Time to take down the suet feeder, put out the jelly feeder and use up any leftover oranges. smile

Aint seen either Oriole or grossbeak yet here near Willmar,I have noticed a lack of wood ducks. We normally have 6-10 pairs a morning checking and laying in the 5 boxes. This year 2 pair at a ttime has been max.Merganzers just showed yesterday,Is it the weather?? or lack of birds?

He looked hungry and mighty glad to see that feeder. Wonder what Mrs. Cheviot would say if I spray painted one of her muffin pans orange? I'd promise to give it back after the feeding season. grin Your post earlier inspired me to rummage around the garage for the feeder and load it up over lunch. Eyes are peeled. smile

Youse guys inspired me, so I put out oriole feeder, hummingbird feeder (which orioles preferred last year) and cut up some twine and put it in an empty suet feeder in case they need stuff for nests.
