Cables for new Lowrance GPS

I just bought a new Lowrance Elite 7 and noticed that there isn't a whole lot of wiring that comes with the unit for me to run to my battery. I will be mounting it behind the windshield of my 18' Lund and plan on hooking it up to the starter battery in the back of the boat. I could also hook it up to the trolling motor batteries, but either way I will need more wiring to reach those locations. What do I need to buy to get this set up? Does it matter what battery I run it off of?

There is normally a bus bar in the console for you to connect to. Find the fuse block and go from there.

Most people run them off the starting battery.Your TM can cause interference issues with your electronics.Just make sure you use heavy enough wire & it's fused properly.

And if you want it to have a dedicated circuit you will need to buy wire to run back to the battery. You might try running it off the fuse block first to see if you have interference problems. I am not a big believer in fixing stuff that isn't broken.
