i'm trying the mineral mix this year and put some out at my bowhunting and rifle spots within a week ago; i tried one "test" spot in the back yard and have had the same results as harvey, deer tracks in the mineral but no evidence of them pawing at the ground or anything, maybe in the next few weeks?

I have been using a brown 50 lb block in a slight depression not too far from a water source for the last 3 years. Works great for getting pics of what is out there. The block is normally gone by the time hunting season starts and they do eat some of the dirt to make which makes the depression deeper. I just put one of the blocks out on Sunday.

Scoot, thats interesting. Although I always put a salt block and a mineral block out at the same time. Never had a issue but it seems like the salt block goes twice as fast! I am from S.W. mn. and I am willing to bet it has alot to do with what minerals are there for them!
