best way to start a cold engine?

Recommended Posts

My 01 grand prix cranks over just fine and pops and fires over and over but it just won't start. First time this has happened it was from the -19 temp the night before. I was going to try starting fluid but everyone says that is bad for your vehicle? The car is so close to starting but I tried 10 times yesterday and 4 or 5 times so far today with no luck. I have tried taking out the air filter ans I have it hooked up to jumper cables to keep it cranking for me.with the cold weather coming up I'm sure it won't start for a long time so I'm hoping to get it going today, and advice???

Well I got her fired up. I was sick of trying so I sprayed a shot of starting fluid in and it fired right up! Not sure if its bad for the engine like a lot of people say but I don't care right now because the dam car runs!
