i agree fivebucks. i don't want anymore garbage floating up in front of my cabin in the spring than what is currently from people to lazy to pick up after themselves.

maverick, you make some very valid points. there would always be a certain few that won';t comply.

harvey lee, that access issue is always a major concern with early deterioration and still plenty of main lake ice.

Getting a house off the lake can be a ton of work, can get expensive and its a learning experience. If you don't have the equipment to get-r-done you may have to rent it, borrow it, buy it or pay someone to do it. There is a dead line every year so you might as well get used to it. If you are going to miss a dead line for removal if you have made a real effort to remove your house and you call the DNR with your plan going forward for removal you may get some sympathy or helpful ideas from them, but if you haven't made an effort and a plan and just call on the last day your probably out of luck on avoiding fines and penalties. Good luck removing if you haven't gotten your house off.
