Esox_Magnum
We have 87 89 and 91 to choose from only the 89 is non oxy though I think..
20lbSloughShark
That's kind of the double edged sword. Most augers probably recommend 87 octane, but also say to use non oxygenated fuel. Your can really ever have one or the other most places. Either way your probably right, but I feel better without ethanol. Its even more important to me, my auger has a stupid tank design that leaks if the hose shrinks from ethanol.
fishinnut_3446
My only option is 91 oct. which has no ethanol 87 and 89 have up to 10% where I get my gas, And I think that's what caused my problems with my other small engine stuff. Lawrence Luoma
Go to Home Depot and get VP small engine fuel 50:1. You won't be sorry!!
123fish
Lawrence put me onto this stuff and I couldn't be more satisfied. Been running it my Nils and it starts and runs great. Not the cheapest stuff in the world but had it delivered to my door with free shipping. I'll be running it from now on.
dfeste
This year I started using the VP fuel as well. I buy the unmixed four stroke version and mix it with Amsoil Sabre at 80:1. I don't drill a ton of holes so I figure a few cans a year at $6 is worth knowing that I'm not putting any dump through my fuel lines and carb.
