Motorcycle riding boots?

What do you wear for riding boots? I was looking at some red wings the other day and seems like the engineer boots are pretty popular for riding boots. Also looked at a pair that were ankle high boots but were pretty heavy for the size. Main things I am concerned about is weight and comfort and not being to hot in the summer. Waterproof would be nice and would like to spend about $200 or less.

Got mine from Dennis Kirk. Riding boots should go above the ankle for protection. They have a huge selection and their prices are good.

Another plus is they have reviews from customers that have been using them so you get an idea of what your buying.

So far I am looking at a Red Wing 988 motorcycle boot which is a higher slip on boot like an engineer boot. Going to have to try them on first as I have had a problem getting slip on boots on as I have high foot arches. Another possibility is a 971 but is a lower ankle high boot but laces up. Guess I will have to go and try some on as comfort and fit will be the deciding factors. Seems like other brands of similar made boots are pretty close to the same price or they also have some crazy priced stuff out there. I have bought a lot of red wings in the past for work boots and they have held up well.
