FISHINGURU
What is your favorite set up depth/structure/lures/ect for night time eyes?
WalleyeChaser
I like to run tip ups with smaller shiners and a #8 treble with 12 lb floro leader over green weeds in 10 ft or less. When jiging shallow I use a small jig (1/16 oz) with a fathead. Sometimes the smaller sized slender spoons, vmc spoons, and buckshots work well too. I have my best luck on the tip ups when that shallow so I don't dead stick next to the spoons or jigs unless someone is with and we can have more lines out. pushbutton
Utimately depends on the time of year and the lake, but for the most part at this time of year would have to say at the base of deeper mid lake structure…..30 ish ft. Similarly, transition type muddy/buggy feeding flats in that mid to upper twenty range. JB lures and Clam both now have a larger(1/16 to 1/8th oz.) tungsten that has been and probably will be my go to for a while. They are relatively accessible, light in profile, give excellent action and feel, drop relatively fast in that deep of water, and have a big enough hook(#8's and #6's) to get a decent sets. creepworm
Shallow flats. Use a darter or aggressive rattlin bait and either a bobber pole or lighted tip up. Keeping noise and light to a bare minimum.
