No Start Yukon

Dave

Recommended Posts

Stopped at my moms to scrap driveway. 2000 Yukon running fine. Go to leave and no start or fire. Dumped some gas down the throttle body and it fires. Plenty of gas in the tank. My favorite mechanic was snowmobiling mad New fuel pump when I bought it, 2 years and 40K ago. Shop will need to finish diagnosis on Monday. Let the guessing game begin. frown

David, David......can't I leave for a couple days of fun without you breaking something?

Good thinking trying the gas, I agree with the others in that you are probably looking at a fuel pump.

If/when you get it replaced make sure to put on a filter too.

Sorry I was gone, but Adam understands....... wink

Don't know what brand was installed by the previous owner but, I would guess an aftermarket due to price. I did wrap on the tank but, that didn't help either. Was hoping last night they'll find a clogged filter but, you know my luck, Mac. I'm bracing for the worse.crazy And, I understand, we were out sledding and fishing on Friday. grin

Broken wire at fuel pump connector. Three other wires were brittle as well. When previous owner changed the fuel pump, I guess it came with a wiring harness adapter that needed to be spliced in for the new style plug. Not happy with a $211 bill but, not much a guy can do when his mechanic's out playing.
