Strikemaster Ice Suit

Northlander

Recommended Posts

I picked up the Strikemaster Bibs and Parka for what I thought was a great price. $200. I must say Im really impressed with the suit for the money. Plenty of room, tons of good sized pockets for my big hands and a lot of reflective materials. There is plenty of good velcro in needed areas and the parka even has a built in neck gator that you can use if needed. Well padded knees but not in the rear end wich would be nice.

Its not a floating suit, I hope Strikemaster or Ice Force comes out with one, but a very well built and thought out suit. I think its a very good suit for the money.

I also think very highly of my strikemaster suit that i got a screaming deal on after the season a couple years back now. I only paid $140 for it and consider it a steal at that price. Jacket is insulated and warm, bibs are not as heavy which I prefer. They keep you dry though and I layer underneath. Money well spent.

I think I got my Strikemaster suit from Redrock Wilderness store but that was a couple years back. I think Dave at Pro Fishing Supply was selling the suit packages for cheap too but not sure if he has any now or not. I think the entire suit is running closer to $300 now at major retailers.

luv my strike master suit...under 2 bills @ the show in st paul 2 years ago, always one of the best deals there annually. plenty of storage, warmth, & water protection. last mon/tues when the winds were howling up to 40 mph I was on the ice in my suit & no shelter, a bit chilly but I love hole hopping fishing!

Would this be a more versatile suit than the Frabill FXE snosuit? I have the Frabill and it is truly a cold weather -10 and colder suit. Super warm and durable. Looking for something a little less bulky but still warm and versatile.

The bibs are nice and light weight, but the jacket is still very warm and somewhat bulky. It is the warmest coat I've ever owned. Unless it's 20 degrees or colder, mine stays off. I guess what I'm getting at is you probably want to look elsewhere if your looking for something more versatile.
