Garage Floor a Mess

This is an ongoing problem for lot of us who choose to live in snow country. My solution to this problem was to coat my floor with Epoxy. This creates a nice smooth floor surface, protects the floor from salt erosion and help with cleaning. I shovel any unmelted snow and ice and pouch it out the door and to the side of the driveway. Then I use my wet vac and vacuum up the residual water, sand and salt. My floor is basically dry a couple of hours later. The nice this about sing a vac is that it gets rid of the grit on the floor. I have 14 gallon Rigid vac I bought from Home Depot for about $100. It takes about 15 minutes to do my floor.

I used a squeege for years, but it always left lots of water and grit behind. Now I get rid of it.

In case anyone want to know if the salt and sand has any effect on the vac I used one for 15 years and just replaced it. My son kept borrowing it to use in his garage so I gave him the old one. Anybody else have that problem....LOL.
