Battery Post broke on Marcum

The battery post that goes up at a 45 degree angle broke off on my LX-3. Went to local hardware store and they did not have anything with the extra piece that goes up at the 45 degree angle. Can I splice both wires together and just use the regular connecter that slides right on the battery? or Do I have to solder the piece back on?

Any help would be much appreciated

Splice 'em together. Or call Marcum and ask for one.

You can also use Ancor part #230613. They're for marine wiring and are typically sold at any place that sells marine supplies.

The female goes to the battery and the male spade is for the digital charger.

Yes you could do what your saying and I don't see any reason not to other then your shortening one wire by cutting off the connector. Other then that I've never needed to remove the connector to the digital charger. Those those be found at Radio Shack btw.
