Auger Won't Pull Gas

So I have a Strikemaster, and I ran the gas out of it last winter/spring. Every time I do, I have the devil of a time getting it started. I have new gas (non-oxy) with Amsoil, and Sea-Foam in it. I can see an air in the gas line and pulled the thing on choke about 60 times and put it away. It visually looks like gas is not being drawn into the gas line. I do have the vent on the cap open, too.

Any thoughts, oh wise-men?

Diapham dried out or stuck needle...Try dumping gas in the plug or through the carb to get it reprimed if that dont work it will need a carb kit... I never run mine dry and start it several times in the off season...

Dont forget to look for cracked/broken fuel line at or in the tank.

If it sucks air it wont suck fuel.

Oh yea forgot the SM have the poor fuel lines that are known to crack...

I had the exact symptoms this year. I tore the carb apart and sprayed the carp out of everything with cleaner. It runs now but it still isn't perfect.

Had the same issue with my SM two years ago. New fuel line and all is fine.

The Tygon fuel line on many SM augers has a habit of getting hard and cracking. Give it a pinch. If it's hard replace it. Every decent parts store on the planet has it in stock.
