duckster
Been in Rochester for a week. Silver Lake is frozen and there are a few hundred geese around. Since the power plant is no longer producing hot water the lake doesn't stay open. I will be here for a couple more weeks and will keep you posted.Duckster
steve1111111
I did not know that about the power plant. So is that the end of the late season rochester goose hunting as we know it?
Bryce
Gonna give it a try Friday morning. Report I got was sloppy fields that need to freeze. Bet if a guy was to stop in for an egg mcmuffin tomorrow morning, you might hear something about a west wind being just perfect for Hamburger Hill. Probably hasn't been hunted recently either. Bryce
Saw a pretty strong flight. Didn't start until well after noon. Were still coming out when I had to leave. Seemed to be shifting to over the field I was in.Rochester experts can correct me. I'm just a pay to play guy. Hasn't the power plant been done for several years now? BoxMN
Was down there the day after xmas. Saw a ton of birds, but they all flew "not to us" We got 2 only, the majority flew out west farther than we were. The two that came in were committed to say the least, haha! It was a nice day, the pits were warm and I only wore a shirt and vest the entire day, and stood up for most of it, so it wasn't too cold. We did see a LOT of birds going out, we just weren't in the path. Good luck! Hope they fly over you!
