Onward to hard water!

Just pulled the forecast for Waubay next week. It's looking good that temps will get to dropping and that water will be close to setting up in the next few weeks. It would be nice to get out the weekend after thanksgiving.

Here's hoping for ice soon.

Going to grab my ice fishing gear on my way back from deer opener.

It will not take many nights of calm weather in the teens and the smaller bodies of water should start locking up, but the highs in the upper 30's to low 40's aren't doing us any good.

Looks like the weather won't make too much progress in the next ten days. That's ok with me I guess. I wouldn't have time to go in the next two weeks anyway.

It would be nice to have a clear 6" layer by the weekend after thanksgiving.

It's getting there. My guess is it could take to Dec 6th for great ice.

yeah looks like today will be the last mild day and then the cold will finally get here.

Hopefully the season will start off with no snow, so the lakes can make some good ice right away.

And here's hoping for no rough ice. Maybe then we could all spread out a lot more.
