Fuel guage

I picked up a polaris xplorer 500 at a auction this last weekend. My question is that there is no fuel guage. I looked at the polaris HSOforum and it shows a replacement fuel cap that has a float. I have this type in a snowmobile and they rattle bad. Is there any other option to go with?

None that I know of. I found the Xplorere 500 to go about 80 miles before hitting the fuel reserve.

thanks for the reply. The bad news is that there is no speedo on my atv so it is hard to track milage. I need to come up with another way.
