amateurfishing
stopped in @ ice show in Blaine b4 picking kids up from school today. OMG what a blast!! Strikemaster, Aqua Vu, Clam, etc., talked to Matt Johnson, Jason Mitchell, Dave Genz, Tony Roach, and a few others. Everyone was SUPER nice, had a great time, made a couple of intended purchases & a major unintended one. Learned a ton, and the retailers wanted to sell, all without the lines or shoulder to shoulder traffic of St. Paul Show. So busy for 2 1/2 hours I never made it to the 2nd room. Ohh well, the admission fee is MORE than worthwhile for the knowledge I personally gained. Add talking to the whos who of the ice fishing world and deals on top of that, I wont be seeing other shows for a while I think.
JakeJ_Mn
I drove about a 400 mile round trip from north of the range. I was very impressed with the great attitudes of all the vendors and pros. Talking with some of the ice experts on small tips to improve my ice fishing was a blast. Although, not as big as the St. Paul show - I would go again. The show was well organized and it was a beautiful sunny day for a ride.
Chad Peterson
I agree, everyone is down to earth and just talking fishing with them is what it is all about.
Savage Brewer
It was a good show today, other than I spent too much. Don't think the wife is too pleased with me right now...
JeremyCampbell
LOL! I spent a little over $1100.00 today @ the expo and my wife says when an expo comes around for her hobby she gets to spend the same.I couldn't argue with that. pushbutton
I am disappointed in both of you You must always wait....for months....half a year even.... to reciprocate the purse, decretive pillow, shoe purchase.
RiverChuckNorris
Ditto everything said here about the show. Went Saturday and loved every minute. Sat in on Jason Mitchell's trophy eye seminar which was fantastic and caught up with him, Tony and Jimmy Kleinsauser. What a great group of gentlemen this sport draws!Picked up my first perch sweetheart and in line reel as well as a hard rod case by Otter and a few other items. Can't wait for the season! amateurfishing
I stuck within my budget (kinda) & ordered my first perch sweetheart rod along with a pre order of the clam 6 inch auger power drill conversion kit, then the wife approved a clam 6 pack pop up spur of the moment purchase (for the family) all from the same vendor, well over $100 saved totalsaw the otter rod boxes & very impressed but had already spend my $$$$$,, maybe next year as I build up my combo arsenal

Eric_Kruger
I didnt make it this year but I had a blast at blaine last year. If I could have had a choice on which one I was working this year I would have chosen blaine. I really like the set up there and think it will keep growing as the years come. Will it ever get as big as st paul? I hope so but only time will tell!
