While hummingbird won the sprint to 360 imaging lowrance has raised the bar.

No need to deploy an additional shaft into the water and spend $2000 for it either.

Exciting changes in the world of electronics and each company is constantly pushing the envelope. Good to be a consumer.

Too bad they say it only works on cable steer bowmounts. Not sure why the "electric steer" is not supported. Leaves me out.

My understanding is that the 360 bow attaches to the part of the cable steer trolling motor that does not rotate. The Electric steer has the whole shaft rotate. I think that is the issue with electric steer transducer for 360 bow imaging.

The shaft of a cable steer doesn't turn? Are you sure?

In that picture it appears the bracket is attached to a short sleeve that extends down from the bracket. Inside that sleeve is a shaft down to the motor part. I guess that is why it won't work on an electric steer, no sleeve.

The hummingbird unit is completely different concept than lowrance. Lowrance mounts to the motor head while hummingbird has a different contraption similar to their rear mounted solution. This is undoubtedly why theirs costs three times what lowrance does.
