Too bad they say it only works on cable steer bowmounts. Not sure why the "electric steer" is not supported. Leaves me out.

The electric steer is in development just not ready yet per a pro staff guy I talked to.

It probably has to do with the speed at which electrics rotate, they may move too fast. With a cable steer you can control how quickly the motor rotates.

My understanding is that the 360 bow attaches to the part of the cable steer trolling motor that does not rotate. The Electric steer has the whole shaft rotate. I think that is the issue with electric steer transducer for 360 bow imaging.

That is correct, look at the image at the bottom of the Humminbird Bow 360 page:

In that picture it appears the bracket is attached to a short sleeve that extends down from the bracket. Inside that sleeve is a shaft down to the motor part. I guess that is why it won't work on an electric steer, no sleeve.

The hummingbird unit is completely different concept than lowrance. Lowrance mounts to the motor head while hummingbird has a different contraption similar to their rear mounted solution. This is undoubtedly why theirs costs three times what lowrance does.
