Northland Tackle Flipper Dipper Ice Scoop

So has any one looked at one of these in person. They look convenient, but I had something similar to this a few years ago and it was a piece of junk.

Saw a similar design at scheels in Fargo in the weekend. Nothing from northland though. Looked interesting!

I bought one of these late last year and used it several times. I found it works much better than a typical scoop but there were a few times I got it hung up on the bottom of the ice. Probably more because the hole wasn't perfectly straight but over all impressed with it.

I have a couple flipper dippers, work great for me. If one breaks i will go get another one. Would reccoment a little piece of pipe insulation/foam on the end to prevent it from sinking but other than that they work great. They do have a rope on the handle but who ever uses those!
