Lac Qui Parle Hunting

Recommended Posts

I was wondering if anyone has any info to help with my Lac Qui Parle hunt this fall. I have tried to call the office but no one seems to be there. I was wondering what the blinds are like, depth of water, and what/how many decoys one should bring. My friend and I are planning a week long trip along the western edge of MN. We are planning to include Lac Qui Parle for one of those days maybe two if the birds are there. I like the new rules about showing up by 6am to get a chance of a blind instead of the lottery system of the past.

Thanks

They are usually pretty good about answering the phone. I'd give them a call again. I haven't been out in a few weeks but water levels were low by the dam when I was there last. I've hunted the refuge my entire life and in that area more is always better when it comes to decoys. If you would prefer to get on some private land or a pit for decoying message me.
