I am trying to get this old unit to work for a BWCA trip. I have good power up to the unit but nothing happens when I turn it on. Ohm meter shows no continuity in the unit with the power turned on. I removed the 6 screws in the back but the unit doesn't seem to want to open. I suspect there has to be a fuse of some sort inside but I can't find the manual and when I download it from Eagle it won't show the entire document.

Anyone have any suggestions for this unit?

I don't think the manual has what you need to know.

I would just go to amazon or ff and pick up a cheap lcd unit. Get the suction cup mount and run it off a couple 6v lantern batteries.

Mount it all on a cheap toolbox. Under 100 bucks for the whole thing.
