Col. Hoggiebun
Just brought her home but didn't think to ask this question til I spent a few days inside ofit daydreaming lol. Question 1.why arnt ther heating vents directed to the rear of the ice house wher everyone sits or occupys space. The venting is directed n straight out from the heater at the couch or dinnette which ever u have an the only other vent is directed straight at the door. Never figured this before. Do the vents create a heat barrier from the door? I feel like I want to redirect the vent so it pushes heat to the back of the unit. Any thoughts on this? Hawg
I don't think I've ever seen them any other way. Many of us put in a small wall mounted direct vent heater so the AC doesn't have to run all night like on your kind.
Lip_Ripper Guy
I'm not sure why Ice Castle does that. It definitely creates a hot spot up by the furnace, and a cold spot by the back in the houses I've been in. In mine I directed one vent straight towards the back, and then I direct one of the others pointing towards the side to the back, which pretty much eliminates that problem. Col. Hoggiebun
So u directed one vent back towards the rear of the house? I like questioned? I know its a very simple proceedure. Hole saw is all I need. Don't know if I wana manipulate things just yet. But the current placement of the vents just gose againts logic to me, but Im not an engineer of sorts either. Thanks for tthe replies.
walleye-
Why not just buy different vents the ones that rotate to direct air in a different direction
CANOPY SAM
Yepper. That should do it walleye-. I think you can get those vents at the big box construction stores that you can manually rotate and direct in any direction you want the airflow to go. Probably can even get one that'll fit the current vent holes.Gotta make that gorgeous house comfy womfy!
