Are these rods any good?? I wanted a new MH rod for frog fishing and I happened to see the other day that the big W store had them for $30 so I grabbed one...

I own 4 of them. 3 are 7'3" mh rods. The MH are not all that heavy but I like them for texas and football jigs. They are cheap and not that bad of a rod.

Same thoughts as Sheepheadslayer only I was cheaper yet and bought vendettas because I think they feel the same??

Nice light rods with a decent feel...only warning is that I've had 2 of them explode on me during hooksets.

I've had 1 explode on me swinging a 1lb bass in the boat.

I have had two 7'3"MH break on the hookset and my buddy has broke a 7'MH as well. It's nice that you can get replacements for 9.95$ by just sending them a picture, but if my next replacement breaks as fast as this last one I won't be getting anymore. They do fish decent for the price.

Oops for some reason I thought you were asking about the veritas...so my response probably doesn't make sense.

Not to change topic but anyone know/notice the difference btwn veritas/vendetta? Blanks look the same and rods felt the same to me.

And I echo the $10 replacement is not bad...not great either if you do it repeatedly. Also not fun removing pieces of it from chest & neck.

I have several Vendettas. I broke a 7'6"H and replaced it with the same model in the gen 2. They shortened the handle a little which I don't like, but the gen 2 are supposed to be stronger. I guess we will see. I have a gen 1 7'mh that has recieved a serious workout and has performed perfectly.

To add to that, they seem like great bang for the buck rods. $80.

I've caught many smallies with it so far seems like a decent rod especially for 30 bucks ha...
