Anyone know where a person can buy a youth, left handed semi auto in a 20 ga slug gun?

Granddaughter will hunt deer this fall and I need a gun that is left handed and a youth. Preferably a semi auto but I could live with a pump.

wow, that's asking a lot I think Harvey, youth, semi auto, yep you can find it, but southpaw??? I am not sure how many southpaw adult size semi's are out there. I am sure the big boys make them in adult sizes.....

It's awesome your grand daughter is wanting to deer hunt, her future husband will thank you some day

Taylor loves to come along in the ground blind to watch the deer. Few years ago, she decided she wanted to deer hunt with us. I am all for it.

Ithaca has one in the Deerslayer 11 model as it is a bottom eject so it can work for either. Only issue is, they want $900 for it, a bit much for a 12 year olds 1st deer slug gun. They make this model with an adjusttable stock so one can shorten it a tad more than 2 inches. Also a fully rifled barrel. Ithaca said they were 3 months out on orders on this gun.

Benilli also makes one but you can guess the price of that.

Research online shows there are some from time to time but they are few and far between.

I would go with a pump also if I could find one.

Taylor is left eye dominant so she does not shoot well right handed even though she can. Much better shooting as a leftie.

I have till Oct to find one and if I look long enough, I should be able to corral one.

Harvey I think you are going to need to settle for a BPS pump 20 or something like it that isn't right or left handed. You'll have a tough time finding a 20 youth left handed semi auto

Went with a Browning BPS Micro in a 20 gauge. Since it is a bottom eject, good for both a right or left handed shooter. If our youngest granddaughter decides to also go deer hunting, by then, it would work for her also since is has the bottom eject.

Picked up the Browning BPS Micro 20 gauge slug gun for our Granddaughter today. Put a good scope on it and it should be a very good slug gun.

The guy at the gun shop where I go said wouldn't it have been nice if we could have got a gun like this for our first gun, I said yes, at age 11, I was happy with any style gun as long as it was mine.

These slug guns today are so much better than what a person shot 45 years ago.

Now, we will need to do alot of practice so she is ready to dump her 1st deer this fall. Deer season will not come fast enough as I am really pumped to see her harvest her first deer.

I have a great spot that is private property and we will be the only ones there. I hunted this spot last fall archery hunting for the 1st time ever and dropped a nice 10 pointer the first 20 minutes I sat there last fall.

Just have to get the cameras out and then approx 1 month before the youth season, I will put out a ground blind for her and her dade or I.

    • got this tackled today took about 3 hours to get both sides done. Didnt even get to use a torch....   Thought I was golden with just jacking it up and I could get to everything but no luck. Had to remove the entire axle hub and brake assembly to get to what I needed. Was a pain but still better then taking off the entire pivot arm.    Axle bearings were already greased and in great shape thankfully. Got both leaf springs installed and its ready for the road again.   Probably going to have my electric brakes checked, I am not touching anything with the brake drums. Based on what I saw it doesn't look like my electric brakes have been working anyway. Brakes are nice to have if its slippery out
    • By The way that didn't work either!! Screw it I'll just use the cellular.
    • It’s done automatically.  You might need an actual person to clear that log in stuff up.   Trash your laptop history if you haven’t tried that already.
    • 😂 yea pretty amazing how b o o b i e s gets flagged, but they can't respond or tell me why I  can't get logged in here on my laptop but I can on my cellular  😪
    • I grilled some brats yesterday, maybe next weekend will the next round...
    • You got word censored cuz you said        B o o b ies….. haha.   Yeah, no… grilling is on hiatus for a bit.
    • Chicken mine,  melded in Mccormick poultry seasoning for 24 hours.  Grill will get a break till the frigid temps go away!
    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
