September 25?

I saw on TV last night after Ron Schara's Outdoors program that the waterfowl season begins Aug.25th this year. I knew it was proposed, but I guess now it is final. Does anyone know how long the season lasts now that it starts a week earlier? What are your thoughts of an earlier start?

I went to the Game Fair yesterday. It was a lot of fun. They did a real nice job this year!

The DNR has only proposed the Sept 25th opener, and they state on the HSOforum that they will not set the opener date until early September.

I don't know where Schara got that info...the DNR has not made it public yet.

I think the first guy had a typo. The thread title is SEPT.25th.
Yes that is when it will be. Do I like it? NO!! will I be out hunting?YES. I love the cold hunts more than them hot ones but all in all I love to hunt.

If I were a bettin man and I am, I think it's going to start on Sept 25 and last for 60 days with a 6 bird limit.
I think I'll open the season by Battle Lake. Hunt for a couple hours and then go troll for Northern or drift for Walleye. If neither one of those pan out I may just sit on my brother's dock and suck down some cold ones. I am sure the temps going to be in the 70's if not higher. Too early but I will be out there as well. And I'll probably be in ND the next weekend when it will be too warm as well.

It will be the 25th of September no doubt about it.Minnesota won't let Norht or South Dakota open before we do.

Both those states are already set, the regulations and licenses will be available out there next weekend.

We are headed out there to scout on the 20th, hope to procure a few nice fields to wack some honkers on the early season.

I don't know about sucking down a few cold ones off the end of the dock on Sept. 25... With the way the weather is turning this week, we might be lucky to find open water on Sept. 25

Waterfowl suppliment is out and it is going to be the 25th.
