only if you are going to spear for carp, suckers, bullheads. see page 75 of the 2013 reg. book for more info.

For northerns the spearing season is Nov. 15th 2013 to the last Sunday in February 2014. Northerns can not be speared during the summer.

The only kicker will that there is gonna be more ice on the lakes than on Nov 15th. whistle
