Titanium spring bobber?

Also think they are ok. IMO the best part about them is the action they can put on bait, less likely to freeze or tangle up, as well as a no messing with a bobber great strike indicator when you have gloves on. Titan sells a 2 pack for cheap, but you have to tape them on. Frabils are about twice as much, but clips on and are adjustable. Guess you can go the preassembled route like the tripwire as well, like I did, but don't think they are worth the price. While I do not, but If you do fish outside in the elements a lot, would for sure recommend one of the choices though.

The frabil one is decent... No comparison to the st croix, but I kind of moved away from spring bobbers this year. A rod with a light tip is just way less hassle. Found one at cabelas for $10 last weekend.

I've been using the spring bobber for years. I use the flat metal ones but thought about the Frabil titanium with the hopes that they are more sensitive and they don't deform.

I did look at the fishing poles with the light (fast tip) but wondered if they are as good as a spring bobber for indicating light bites etc.

for those that have used spring bobbers and made the switch to fast action type poles - are there ever any days that you wished you had the spring bobber back on?

Also, what poles work the best for going without a spring bobber - mainly fish panfish

Thanks

I've got a frabill titanium spring bobber and it's extremely sensitive, also have a TB power noodle and there have been days when it can be tough to detect the bite on that where the spring would have been easier, that's mainly mid winter when the bites seem to be very light and I'm fishin outside when it's cold. After some time outside and my hands start freezing I can't hold the rod as still, so I miss some of those light bites, can't feel or see it sense I have the rod tip shaking a little, find out I missed em when I start jigging again they're gone before I can even think about setting the hook. But if the bite isn't horribly tough I prefer the light tip rods without a spring, just more convenient hole hoppin.
