King of the Cats 2013

Hey guys and gals, once again I plan on doing the Annual King of the Cats Contest.

Each year has been bigger and better and this year will be no exception. I have added a couple more states to the field and have confirmed some really nice prizes to give away.

King of the Cats is a catch and release catfish contest that began in 2007 as a fun way to compete throughout the summer with fellow catfishermen and a way to promote catch and release.

I look forward to another fun year. The contest begins on April 1st

Anyone out fishing today?

Actually brought a channel pole and some crawlers and cut sucker out to a couple Mississippi north channel spots and the spots I could get a line in had no kitties wanting to play. It was cold but the sun makes it feel slightly like spring.

After a slow start thanks to mother nature, the entries are flying in at a rapid pace. The last week has been crazy.

Already up to 15 flatties 40" or bigger.

The guys and gals putting time on the water are being rewarded for their diligence. The offseason is a great time to discuss the best anchors and rod holders, but now is the time to catch some fish, get out there now.
