MikeRaetz
I have fished in the rain more than a few times this year and its well worth getting a little soaked.

Lusid
There is close to 25-30inches of ice on most lakes and 12"+ of snow on the lakes in most parts..I think the lakes won't fully thaw out until mid / late April.
Sherman
I like this rain...gonna bring down sum of the new snow we got and pack it down with the old. I wouldn't worry about the season ending, we still got one more month atleast

RiverChuckNorris
I'll be out tomorrow on the sled. I like the forecast, it keeps the riff raff off the ice
BeenACrappieDay
i know this has been asked a million times, but a million and one can't hurt. would you guys still be willing to drive out? i don't think we've had a major heat wave to compromise the ice, should be fine into next week right? obviously goes lake by lake, but 2 ft of ice doesn't go to 15 inches in a week... ski_otter
I was almost up to the power head on my auger yesterday just north of the twin cities. Unless its 60 degrees the ice will stick around fine. Just watch the landings for indication. They go bad usually before anything else
amateurfishing
i think amount of snow on lake will b more of an issue than weak ice, checked out my lake yesterday, no sign of life since last snowfall cept couple snowmobile tracks in 10 inches of snow, even with 4 wheel drive, unless someone is out there with a plow making a road im planning on hoofing so i dont take chance of getting stuck & be with nature all by myself tomorrow
Buckskin
I think the ice will be around for a while yet, the ice won't even be affected until all the snow melts on top first. With over 2 feet of ice we should be good to go for a few more weeks yet. I haven't seen anything above 38 degrees in the 7 day forecast but that's good, the snow will gradually melt not all melt in a couple days and turn the lake into a huge bowl of soup and soak into the ice making it really weak, fast. GSP4ME
with over a foot of snow and over two feet of ice it better rain a lot for it to make the ice go away
OnAFly
Looking at the Current forecast, we have a long while before the ice melts. But for me, driving is done. I got stuck yesterday and really don't want to have to deal with that again.
brook100
If your planning on driving around in this snow on the lakes this weekend bring a good shovel! Witnessed many 4X4 trucks pulling each other out yesterday. I stuck to the already beaten paths with my Escape.
