holmsvc
I am looking at a frame Carry All Trailer Corp. Does anyone have any experience with this company? The frame is 6.5 x 14 with 3 ft V. It is 2X6 steel tubing with 2x4 steel tubing for the cross bars. Any opinions on 2X6 steel tubing with 2x4 steel tubing for the cross bars? Lip_Ripper Guy
Is this the frame Northern Tool sells? If so, I haven't looked at it super closely. But, 2x6 and 2x4 tubing should be more than sufficient.
holmsvc
I guy has it posted on a classifieds. I am not sure where he got it. One of my concerns is that by the time I put an insulated floor in I'll already be at least 8 inches off the ice.
Lip_Ripper Guy
Just do 3/4" plywood with spray foam. It will cost about the same, be way easier to do, and it'll keep you at 6 3/4" up.
CaptainMusky
Do you put anything on the underside of the trailer after the spray foam? Any issues with roadsalt etc on exposed foam?
Lip_Ripper Guy
Shouldn't need to. I know of a couple houses over 20 years old with exposed foam and it's still in good shape. I'm going to spray paint mine black this summer to help protect it from UV rays.
