Just picked up a new Honda. What oil is everybody running. 5W-30 or 10W-30 during cold weather ice fishing.

5-30 in my 1000 but I don't think it makes a lot of difference.

5-30 winter 10-30 summer, Ran Honda oil when it was new, now switching to Amsoil, like all my other small motors.

Says in the manual, 5-30 when temp is below 25 degrees. Use 10-30 when it is warmer.

You will love your gen. Make sure you change oil when the manual recommends. My 1000eu gets the oil changed almost every time I use it.
