Red_Eye
Just curious how long you can run a forced air heater before the battery needs recharging. I know it depends on how often it runs and temperature and size of fish house but just in general how long will the battery generally last? dougger222
Ran a 30K BTU Suburban forced air furnace in the camper turned fish house for a few years and found a good charged battery to run 1.5 days tops. Of course the furnace had to heat a 8x16 barely insulated unit on top of ice in temps 0 on a warm day and -20 on a cold day. Ended up just running the old Honda 5hp genny. The new Dream shak has the same furnace and although I bring two new fully charged 12 volt marine deep cycles with me run on the genny most of the time. The big drawback with these furnaces is when the battery drops to a certain charge the furnace blows cold air. Boker001
Divide the amp hour rating of your battery by the amp draw of your furnace and that will give you an approximate # of hours of use. Mine stops working after the battery gets low though so maybe take off another 10-20% off the hours of use time.
Cliff Wagenbach
You will get about 3 days out of a fully charged deep cycle battery.Cliff
