Arago
Fellow hunters, I would appreciate your opinion. I'm a combo rooster/duck hunter. Anyone own this gun or have thoughts on it? I'm looking at this seriously. By the way, it's an O/U. Looking at the 28" barrel.
Ufatz
Franchi has been making nice firearms for a long, long time. It should be very easy to look up some info on this newest model. They manufacture some very nice shotguns.

ReelTimes
I have the SL in the 20 gauge. Use mainly for grouse and as back up gun for pheasant. Love the gun. Under 6 pounds....can carry all day and hardly know your carrying it. I think it's a decent gun for the money.
TylerS
I shot a bunch of different Franchi models on a combo duck/quail hunt last week in Texas. Shot a couple 20s and a new 28. All shot great. Good feel, nice balance, and not a bad price point, either. I've never been much of an O/U shooter, but I was mighty tempted to pick one up after firing those guns. gspman
The heaviest Franchi Instinct SL 12ga weighs in at 5.7 pounds. With duck loads that's going to pound the living tar out of you. Unless there is a different SL model that's not on their HSOforum I'd strongly consider finding a heavier gun if you really are going to shoot ducks with it.
