Walleyehooker
4 Cups of water 4=6 potatoes cubed Carrots 1-12 oz Can of evaporated milk pearl onions optional Fish cubed optional Couple dabs of butter Old bay seasoning and black pepper to taste Simmer potatoes and carrots in water. When potatoes are about half cooked add pearl onions and a can of evaporated milk. Turn on low till potatoes are done then add cubed fish if desired and butter. Fish will only take about 5 minutes to turn white and be fully cooked. Larger fish fillets work better for this as smaller fillets crumble when done. This doesnt take long to make and would be easy to do in the fish house if you have a cook top. You wont get any complaints either. Picture is before fish and butter are added
KEN W
That looks pretty good.If you want it richer.....add a can of cream of potatoe soup, some chopped fried bacon and at the end....add a good handfull or 2 of shredded white cheese.Let it melt and serve. You can also add some frozen dumplings or gnochie at the end. DonBo
Been looking for a good fish soup. Adding the bacon and cheese and this sounds really good. Now if only we'd get some good ice, so I could catch some fish....
Walleyehooker
Maybe I should have called it healthy potatoe soup. But yea you could add some cream to thicken it a little more or bacon or cheese etc.
