Multi season fish finder options

I was wondering what options there are for a multi season fishfinder. I currently use a garmin nuvi with lake master chip for navigation. Is there a solid multi season unit that has GPS capability ?

Thanks

the LX6 can also be updated as new firmware comes out for it. the only negative to the LX6 in a boat is the smaller screen. I have my LX7 mounted in my boat for use during the open water season. the only thing I need to get to make it functional this upcoming open water season is that I need to pick up the new dual beam transducer they came out with this past fall.

I only use my GPS to get to my general location then use the flasher to locate the fish, no need to have to carry both gps and flasher when I only need the flasher... If I need to drop a new waypoint it's as easy as turning on the unit...I use either myHDS 5 or 7 for GPS since I have many late fall spots marked

I really like my HB 597.for summer but am having trouble with the setting as it appears I'm getting interference in the flasher ice mode. Could you share your successful settings on your. HB 597.

TIA,

Jim

you would not want the 597 DI model. the ice ducer runs on 200khz frequency and DI runs on 455Khz plus for DI to work the transducer needs to be moving. If you go with a 597 make sure it is the non DI model.

What is the difference in the HB ICE 597 vs the regular HB 597? Is it just the soft carting case and the ice ducer? If that's all the difference is it seems like the $150 extra for the ice version isn't worth it. Couldn't I just buy an ice ducer for half that and call it good? And save $75
