Oh my. I airballed a few as a kid, everyone at some point does, but that young fella better wipe his hands off and then some!

I was fouled once in college as I shot the ball in the lane. The guy guarding me put his hands up and as he did, he hit my right elbow just as I was shooting, end result was right over the top of the back board. The official didn't blow his whistle, coached chewed my ear off until he saw it on the game film after the game. He did show it to the team after the next morning shoot around, never apologized, in fact I think he used to point out you can't let the officials control the game. For reason, I wasn't off the hook
