MIDNIGHT777
I went to the blaine show for an hour or so and saw these zip tie tire chains that i have never seen before. I am a little skeptical as to if they work or will hold up. I have never seen them before so i dont know if they are a new product???? Anyone else seen or used them? My thought is they might be ok on cars and small trucks, but the bigger rigs would shred them. I do like the concept for a cheap easy get unstuck tool on the ice. Jeremy airjer W
Are you talking about the ZIPGRIPGO ones? These are meant to get you out of a stuck situation, not prevent it. If you plan on putting them on before you head out than they likely wont be there by the time you arrive at your destination. If your stuck in the ditch or on the ice having these might not be a bad idea?

TLfishing
I was looking at these and decided to hold off on the purchase because I dont think the zip ties will clear my rotors, nor will I think they pass the calipers (I checked my truck and commuter car). BUT I can see the product working if your car has OEM or aftermarket rims that will have enough clearance between the wheel and rotors/calipers or drums. Also, this product doesnt look like it will work for people who have regular steel rims. Im not putting the product down because I was very interested and impressed with the idea but i would like to see more videos of how they would work for "any" vehicle rim/wheel. MuskieJunkie
Interesting, I might try that chain with zip ties idea and see if they get me from the parking lot to fishing spot.As for keeping them on hand for emergency, has anyone every done that?By the time you're stuck you're usually wait deep in soup, sounds like a huge pain to get them on, maybe in snow you could dig out the wheel and then zip them on one by one but by the time you do all that you could have a buddy finish his pizza at home, drive out to pull you out and still have time to stop by the watering hole for a cold one.
