Rechargable batteries for Foxpro caller

Recommended Posts

Looking at buying some rechargeable battries for my new foxpro firestorm. I know Foxpro sells a kit with batteries and a charger, but are'nt the batteries just standard aa rechargeable batteries and the charger a 12v 1500mA charger? Does anyone have this setup? And did you buy the Foxpro setup or did you just buy some rechargeable batteries and a charger from somewhere like radio shack?

Thanx DieselDan

I have fox pros kit in my fury. Plugs right into the wall with a LED charge indicator, and no meesing around removing batteries. Run time is fantastic.. I can get a couple days of decent hunting no problem... usually mine only dies if I through it in the back seat and forget it for a day or two with it being left on..

I also use the batteries and charger from Fox Pro. As stated above run time is excellent and when the need arises I simply plug the charger into my Firestorm and wait until the green light turns off. I have with other callers tried various methods from regular batteries to different chargers and brands of rechargeable batteries. The Fox Pro offering is spot on, well worth the money.

Im sure the foxpro rechargables work great. I love the energizer lithium, they are good down to -40. When I tried other AA's in cold they died fast and some high pitched sounds on the foxpro came out like dump. They are spendy at $10 per 4.
