2009 GMC Sierra Exhaust

Recommended Posts

My best suggestion/advice would be to do yourself a favor and leave it alone. Short of spending big money, there are not really any good options that will last as long as a factory system and you'll not realize any measurable gain in performance.

I've wanted to do dual exhaust with attitude for some time but have hesitated because of issues I've heard about concerning the computer and dash lights coming on. There must be a way to do it as I see a lot of pickups with dual exhaust. With an 09 the exhaust will last for many years because I believe they are made of stainless steel which should last forever.

Did I mention that the wife likes it quite??? Let's see, wife and pension or dual exhaust??? Looks like I am going with quite!!!!

I have an 89 chev that the exhaust pretty much rotted away and fell off. I replaced everything from the manifolds back.

Didn't put a cat converter back on it and bought a cheap muffler. Yeah, it sounds throaty but I'm older than 17 and I hate it. No newer power, and I can't even hear myself fart let alone the radio unless I really crank it up, which sucks when I slow down as the radio is so stinkin loud I'd rather hear the stupid loud exhaust.

It's your truck so do as you will. However, it's not a 67 goat so a set of hooker headers with straight pipes really isn't going to do you much good, except to be real loud and draw attention to yourself.
