Shallow or deep and rocks or weeds??

What's your preference this time of year? Lately, I've been trying the semi deeper rock/hard bottom structure (close to deep water) with minimal success while I've had a buddy doing ok (tend to be smaller fish) in water about 4 feet.

Should I find some shallow rocks? Deep weeds? Shallow weeds? or stick to my deeper hard bottom sand/rock piles knowing big fish will be lurking...

Can't figure a fall pattern out yet...

Thanks for any replies!

This time of year we are after the big girls.. If you know where the big fish are, I would stay on them hoping to get one to bite even if it means only having a chance a one fish a weekend. Every lake is different but on ML, the fish are coming off the reefs that are 3-8 fow, another lake we fish the big girls are on humps that top out at 20ft and they can be up on the sand in 8-14ft.

Any other ideas for me now that it's the end of November?

This Lake gets about 80 feet deep. Big mid lake rock humps coming up to 12-14 feet, small mid lake rock humps coming up to 20 feet, main shore rocky/gravel points depths from 9-20 feet, shallow large weedy bays reaching depths up to 20 feet. Long stretches of semi-steep shoreline breaks reaching into 20-25 feet of water with a semi decent weed edge (maybe a nice trolling run but prefer casting)...

Where would you fish??

If you can find where the white fish spawn I would troll all over that area of the lake. From shallow to deep water them muskys will be close by. Troll troll and troll that is what I would do. Always wanted to give it a try but deer hunting prevents me from fishing late season.
