Deep fried turkey drumsticks...how long do they take?

The only way I have deep fried was a whole turkey. If it was me doing the cooking I would keep checking with a quick read digital thermometer and pull between 160 and 165 and let them rest. My guess is they will go up to 170 while resting.

I think if I was doing drumsticks I might get them a little hotter than that. 160 good for white meat, but dark seems to be a little better cooked more, in my opinion.

Could be, although dark meat is pretty resistant to drying out because of high fat content. If it is real important, they are cheap enough to do a test in the oven. Throw one or two in at 350 or so and take one out at 165 and the second one at like 175 and see which you prefer.

Or you could fire up the fryer early.
