Gel Battery life

I have a gel battery thats 2 years old on my 1995 Panther that does not hold a charge. What is the average life of this kind of battery? What is the price range for a good one?

change it now. they are only good for about a year. they only cost about 30 to 40 bucks if I remeber right. thats what makes my new batteryless efi so nice, no more batterys.
