Shimano Calcutta and Curado reel servicing?

We have a batch of Calcutta TE's and Curado's around here and are thinking it is time to get them into the hands of a trained Shimano service center. We tried one of those Bubba's Bait type "purdy good reel fixin'" places and the test reel we sent to them (near MSP) came back inoperable!! No kidding! I can't find an authorized Shimano place. These are spendy reels and deserve good service.

Anybody know WHERE. Even the one Shimano web site I found didn't list one for MN.

Try anglers paradise located in bass pro shop in spring lake park, osborne/Hwy. 65. Dick is experienced and I've never had a problem the times I brought my reels there. Call and talk to him. I've also sent my reels to bass pro shops in Springfield, MO. Haven't had a problem with them either, costs a little more with postage. I usually left a note in the package letting them know the details of the problem. They called to let me know what they found that needs repaired and how much it will cost.

Send them straight to shimano. They are the least expensive I have found.. and who knows their reels better than the dudes themselves.

+1 for straight to Shimano. I've had a few reels serviced in the cities and they've done good jobs for the most part, but I paid less when I sent my recent Curado straight to Shimano to have a repair done and general cleaning. I paid $26 (included return shipping) for the repair, replacement parts, and a full clean/servicing on that reel. It returned as good as new.

The base price was $20 and $6 was for 4 replacement parts (a heck of a deal knowing what they replaced).
