nwhunter
Looking for a place to sight-in rifles in the south metro. Heading down there in a weekend or two to help out some guys that are heading north with us in November. I'm originally from down that way (New Prague) but don't recall much. Can anyone suggest a outdoor place other than MN Horse and Hunt in the South Metro that allows non-member rifle shooting? 100 yards is just fine... Thanks! echotrail
Check the web site for the Rosemount Gun Club. In the past they have done public sight-ins on Saturday's during the month of October I think the cost was around $10.
wdgold
Check the web site for the Rosemount Gun Club. In the past they have done public sight-ins on Saturday's during the month of October I think the cost was around $10. I believe this is the "Dakota County Gun Club" and that would be your best bet in the south metro, would be a lot closer than the other ones mentioned. They are offering public sight ins starting Oct. 6th.
nwhunter
I didn't get a response from Caribou via email or phone. Dakota sounds like our next best option. Their HSOforum seems up to date, and I received a PM from someone about them as well. Thanks guys!I never thought it would that difficult to find one South of the metro. Up here, we just head out to the woods and shoot...
TMT
http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/shooting_ranges/index.htmlThe DNR gives you a list of shooting ranges. Also, last year Scott County opened their training facility (on 169 between Jordan and Shakopee)to the public for sighting in guns around this time last year.
