Tick season Part II

not sure about you guys, but this year we've had more wood ticks than deer ticks in the spring, then at about end of May, they disappeared, havent found one on me or the dog; but if its like any other year, they seem to pop back out starting now til freeze up, anyone been finding any? I may have to start treating my hunting gear with permethrin again

My dog just about died two weeks ago due to a tick disease. High fever, no appetite, sore etc. Finally figured what it was and vet prescibed a med and within 24hrs was coming around. Scary..but yes, ticks are out now.

My sister in-laws Lab also got really sick from a tick last week.

I've been in the woods a ton since the first of August I haven't seen one since spring. They've never really like me all that much though, interestingly people don't either, hmm...
