hoppe56307
I am looking at a 05 chevy with a duramax, and the engine hours are at 290 with 112000mi. I asked the dealer on why the hours where so low and he told me that there was an issue with the 05 model year that caused something to go wrong with the instrument panel. Has anybody else ran in to this? My concern is that even if you replaced the instrument panel shouldn't all of the information be saved on the trucks computer and when the new one was installed it should not have changed anything correct? Macgyver55
Unless he averaged 386 MPH !! There is in fact an issue with the dash, so that part is true, but most I have replaced with repaired ones have always come back with the same hours and mileage as I brought them in with. It is possible that they didnt program it properly.
JOHNBIGDOG
I know with ford there is a way to re set the hour meter once it maxes out. Is there a similar thing to do with Chevy?
