I have a week off and am thinking of visiting friends in Duluth and/or St Cloud. Would like to do some shore fishing on the way back. Looking for recommendations-dams, lakes, piers-anything good for shorefishing between here and Duluth. Mainly interested in it cats but definitely up for some rough fish or bass. Since I'll be on the road-all fish will be release, so not worried about the fishing spots being ultra clean

the St. Louis river has some nice channels in it. there sum nuce shore spots in jay cook state park. thats if those parts are open cz it took sum damage during the rains

My unkle is the manager of Jay cooke, Not open. They've got LOTS of rebuilding to do! Insane damage from the st. louis.

If you go to st cloud hit the dam by the college

Like mrklean said hit the dam here in St Cloud. Lots of places to fish from shore above and below the dam. Also Blanchard north of St. Cloud, located just west of Royalton has better overall size cats than we do here in town due to less fishing pressure.
