pushbutton
Sweat down some onions, garlic, celery, and finally chop or blend. Like Rh1 mentioned add ground beef or veal. Combine cooled down vegies, meat , and spices. For spices....generic italian spice is fine....fennel, oregano, some crushed red, and black pepper for a little more authentic. Some then make a meat loaf type by mixing in eggs, bread crumbs, and a little milk. Some just patty and line the baking dish raw. I always flour and sear a little in a pan first. Regardless, then put a little layer of sauce on a baking dish, next, formed patties, then cover in sauce. Bake at 350 ish for 30 minutes to and hour depending if you put in raw meat or not, the last 10 or 15 add some cheese. Serve in a sandwhich or open face with some crusty bread......man am I hungry now!

Wether to make it meatloaf style will be up to you as far as if you think it will hold together after cooking in a sauce for awhile. Forgot to add earlier that putting some hot/mild pickled peppers on the sammie is the bomb!
dmichaelm
1. Get your buddy to drive you to Dusty's in Northeast Minneapolis. 2. Order a Grain Belt Premium, a Bloody Mary, and a Dago.3. Repeat step two until satisfied.
